SUMMARY:Jewelry Fabrication – Restring / Redo your treasured necklace
DESCRIPTION:Dates & Time: Thursday\, February 16th\, 2023 Noon to 3:30 PM \nDo you have a treasured but broken piece of jewelry that needs repair or re-styling?  Do you have some favorite beads that you want to string but need design expertise to start?  From knotting pearls to designing a new strand from your loose beads\, Maggie will help you fabricate a finished necklace or bracelet from your materials.  You provide the beads and Maggie will provide the stringing material and accessories (listed above) to finish your project in a professional manner.  Students will leave with resources for material purchase of additional materials and a finished piece of jewelry. \nLevel: This is a beginner Jewelry Fabrication Class.  No previous experience needed.  Students  provide the beads or broken jewelry for restringing / redesign and the clasp. \n# Students: Maximum # 6; Minimum #2 \nTeacher:  Maggie Manley \nCost:  $35.00 Includes stringing material\, crimp beads\, clam shells\, jump rings\, spacer beads\, and tool usage. SUMMARY:Tree of Life Wire Wrapped Pendant
DESCRIPTION:Dates & Time: Thursday\, February 23 Noon to 3:30 PM  \nMaggie will teach you to wire wrap a Tree of Life figure onto a cabochon to create a pendant.  We will string your pendant onto 36 inches of 1.5 mm round leather to create an adjustable necklace for a finished piece that you  will proud to wear.  Students may choose between silver\, brass\, or copper colored craft wire to complement the cabochon of their choice.  Cabochons will be available for purchase starting at $8.00 each.  Students may also bring their own cabs to wrap.  You will leave with written instructions and resources to recreate these pendants at home. \nMaximum of 6 Students; Minimum of 2 Students required \nLOCATION: HGMS Clubhouse\, 10805 Brooklet Dr.\, Houston\, TX 77099 (in Silversmith Shop) \nTEACHER: Maggie Manley \nCOST: $45.00 Includes wire and tool usage & written instructions plus the Cost of cabochon to be selected by student.  Students may provide their own cabochon in lieu of purchasing one.  Cabochons should measure about 1-3/8” wide by 2” high \nNOTE: \nThis is an advanced beginner to intermediate level project.  Students should be comfortable with using needle-nose & round tip pliers a creating at least one simple wire wrapped project. \nClass registration is first-come/first-serve\, no cash refunds. \n
