SUMMARY:Wide Band Textured Rings Class (Oct 19\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Learn to make and texture a 6mm wide band ring from scratch. The class will cover creating rings and the fundamentals of finishing a piece (the key to making it look professional). If you’ve taken the Textured Stacking Rings class\, you’ll see how different working with a wide band from sheet is. Each student will create 1 silver ring. \nThis class is appropriate for the beginning silversmith or for expanding one’s knowledge of basic ring making. No prior metalsmithing knowledge is required. \n\n5 hour class (12:00 – 5:00pm)\nMax 6 students\, min 4\nCost – $130 member; $162 nonmember\nStudents will learn to\n\nCalculate length needed for ring size\nForm & solder ring band\nPolishing & finishing\nTexturing using various tools\n\n\nMaterials provided by instructor\nClass to be held in clubhouse Jewelry Studio. Will overlap open studio hours but will extend into after hours.\nStudents must bring a mask (N95 or KN95)

SUMMARY:Twisted Hoop Earrings (Oct 26\, 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Twisted Hoop Earrings with Carmen Fraticelli \nLearn to make a pair of twisted hoop earrings from scratch in this 5-hour class! This class is appropriate for the beginning silversmith or for expanding one’s knowledge of basic silversmithing. A prior class with soldering is beneficial but not required.  The class will cover the fundamentals of creating twists in square wire\, forming hoops\, and soldering earring posts. All pieces will be in sterling silver.  Each student will leave with a pair of hoop earrings in the size of their choice (up to 5.5” length total). \n\nDate:  Sunday\, October 26th; Noon to 5:00 PM\nMax 6 students\, min 4\nCost – $105 members\, $131 non-member\nClass will be held in the Jewelry Studio\, overlapping open clubhouse hours\nWe will discuss how to use these techniques to make other hoop earrings (simple or with twisted wire)\n\n NOTE:  You must register for this class by October 23rd to allow Carmen time to prepare the materials.
